New footage for Zelda: Breath of the Wild released at The Game Awards 2016

Nintendo have released brand new footage of their upcoming title The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at The Game Awards 2016.

In addition to picking up the award for “Most Anticipated Game”, Breath of the Wild also received a brand new trailer and a short let’s play video at this years Game Awards.

The new trailer titled “Life in the Ruins” focuses on new characters, villages and the ruins found around Hyrule. Providing a sneak peek at a new race of humanoid birds and what appears to be Zelda garbed in a similar blue tunic to Link.

The second video is a short “Let’s Play” hosted by Nintendo of America’s Bill Trinen and Nintendo Treehouse’s Nate Bihldorff.

Despite the footage only being 4 minutes long, it’s packed with never before seen enemies, NPCs and a new region called the “Zonai Ruins”. The new bird race is also seen again, this time in minstrel form, offering Link clues on how to find a nearby shrine.
